at Morning Prayer today we read Colossians 3:12-17. It is an "Anawim Prayer" (like Mary's Magnificat) which mentions being clothed in "compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience." The "poor of God" are those who live in such a way. However, the more timely (synchronicity) verse was this:
"Bear with one another, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord as forgiven you, so you also must forgive."
After reading this (and the other readings) I prayed the Lord's Prayer, including "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors..." And it made the class I will teach today a little more pressing!
